1Call Releases Conference Bridge Module to Healthcare Customers
McFarland, WI - June 2002 - The 1Call Division of AMTELCO is pleased
to introduce the new Infinity version 5.1 Conference Bridge. 1Call is
a leader in developing, installing and servicing call center systems and
applications designed specifically for healthcare facilities.
Most healthcare organizations are looking for ways to reduce costs.
One of the prime targets for cost reduction is to reduce travel expenses,
yet improve communications with physicians, staff, patients, and customers.
As a result, more and more facilities are turning to teleconferencing
as an alternative to face-to-face meetings.
The new 1Call Infinity version 5.1 Conference Bridge provides 64 conference
ports. Users can create up to 21 simultaneous conferences. Similar types
of conference services are being provided by telephone service companies
for fees that run as high as 35 cents per minute, per conferenced party.
Conferences can be set up with or without operator assistance. Conference
calls without operator assistance are accomplished by having each person
dial the designated telephone number and enter the conference ID and passcode
using telephone touchtones. Infinity operators can also create conferences.
Each conference is fully ID and passcode protected and is controlled by
a moderator. Infinity maintains a full set of statistics that make it
easy to bill for the conference services provided.
Conferencing is an Infinity software application and requires no additional
hardware, with the possible exception of the necessary telephony capacity.
