1Call Division of AMTELCO Announces R.E.D. Alert Module for Hospitals and Healthcare Systems

McFarland, WI - January 2003 - The 1Call R.E.D. (Response to Emergency Deployment) Alert module allows users to alert and continuously communicate with emergency personnel that respond to emergency situations at any location.

1Call's R.E.D. Alert module is designed to use the power of 1Call's innovative systems to perform emergency dispatch, monitoring and follow-up. In the event of external and internal disasters that affect the community or the healthcare facility, the 1Call system automatically alerts a single individual, or groups of individuals, about the emergency, and the proper response action that is required. Alerts can be sent out via radio pager, audio callouts to phones with a descriptive message based on the alert (using IVR with secure speech recognition), fax, e-mail, a text-to-speech message, or a wireless message. Maintaining the information required to perform this large-scale messaging and dispatching is stored in an OLE DB-compliant database.

Once contacted, the emergency personnel can be conferenced together autoamtically, or by an operator, using 1Call's Conference Bridge module. 1Call has the ability to handle multiple conference calls, and can record the entire conference, or part of a conference for access at a later date.

Not only can 1Call's R.E.D. Alert call emergency and medical personnel, it also will monitor alarms, emergency systems and send dispatch messages automatically when necessary. R.E.D. Alert can also be set up to turn systems off or on as required for a particular emergency situation.

1Call's R.E.D. Alert is the ideal tool for your communications/alert center for all external and internal disasters. 1Call can also back up your PBX in case of failure, helping ensure calls will never go unanswered.
